This work was compiled, introduced and edited by James Johnson Sweeney (1900 1986), and illustrated throughout by Alexander Calder. Rhymes include 'Fee, Fie, Fo, Fum', 'Solomon Grundy', 'Jack and Gill went up the hill', 'One, two, buckle my shoe', 'The twelfth day of Christmas', and many more.
