The story follows the cat who serves a swashbuckling crew of the English privateer ship Alcestis. Written by Richard George Adams, an English novelist and writer of the books Watership Down, Maia, Shardik and The Plague Dogs. The Peacock Party, as a sequel to other works, Sir Perceval Peacock plans a party for those of his friends who were excluded from the Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast. Written and illustrated by Alan Aldridge, a British artist, graphic designer and illustrator. He is best known for his psychedelic artwork made for books and record covers by The Beatles and The Who.
