The book and its contents are in clean, bright condition. The text pages are clean and bright. The dust jacket is crisp and clean. "Dr Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde. Recent years have seen a renewal of fascination with these dark figures - and a steady stream of re-tellings of Stevenson's original tale. The Jekyll Legacy is not a recreation of that classic but a brand-new sequel written by two master storytellers." "Bloch wrote hundreds of short stories and over 30 novels. He was one of the youngest members of the Lovecraft Circle. H. P. Lovecraft was Bloch's mentor and one of the first to seriously encourage his talent. However, while Bloch started his career by emulating Lovecraft and his brand of "cosmic horror", he later specialized in crime and horror stories dealing with a more psychological approach. Bloch was a contributor to pulp magazines such as Weird Tales in his early career, and was also a prolific screenwriter and a major contributor to science fiction fanzines and fandom in general.".

First Edition. *** DEDICATION COPY ?!?!? ***THE JEKYLL LEGACY, Tor, 1990, first edition, light scattered foxing to the top page edges, else fine in like dust-wrapper. SIGNED by Norton on the second half-title page and SIGNED by Bloch on his bookplate pasted to same. Also, this copy bears two embossed stamps giving the provenance as the Library of Andre Norton. However, this book came later from the estate of Ingrid Zierhut, Andre Norton's business manager, who in fact is the dedicatee of this work. Given that we purchased the Zierhut estate of books and there was no other similar copy of this book among them, we assume that this indeed may be the dedication copy.
