Book
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. A new looking book that is clean tight with unmarked pages ion A near new D.J. with just A touch of wear. 4to 11" - 13" tall; 207 pages. "Here, for the first time, is a gallery of the most important erotic paintings of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The most skillful and creative painters in every era have produced this type of living art. The Masters of each era have reflected individual characteristics, but erotic art has never become dated or out of fashion. This volume is in very fine condition as is its dustcover but for the tiniest bit of shelf-wear to the extreme top of the spine. It is virtually invisible. There is also a really tiny bit of wear to the upper right corner of the front panel of the jacket. Neither of these detract at all from the beauty of the book. There is an introduction by Henry Miller and the book is fully indexed. There is also a complete listing in the rear of the book that references each painting, the country that it came from and bibliographical information as to exactly where the painting resides. Previous to all this is a full bibliography for reference. The endpapers are stunning and are different in the front than they are in the rear. The book contains 207 pages including the colophon. Here we find such artists as Picasso, Manet, Renoir, Dali, Warhol, Toulouse-Latrec, Degas, and many, many more. ".
