Hardcover. Condition: Collectible Good. Dust Jacket Condition: good. 8vo, 84 pages. Maroon boards with purple spine and silver accents. Inscribed on the half-title page: "To Martin xxxx With best wishes, William Styron. and special thanks for your generosity and help!" Firm binding; no loose pages; no writing inside (other than author's inscription). Price-clipped dust jacket is sunned at spine which extends slightly into front of jacket near spine; now encased in a clear, protective cover. A good, inscribed, copy. From a review by Edmund Morris: "Mr. Styron's description of his climactic night of 'despair beyond despair' moved me (a healthy, nondepressive personality) to the point that I felt I was facing my own death. Here is an example of art refined in the fire of experience: the writing is so pure one is hardly aware of the ink on the page.".

William Clark Styron, Jr. (* 11. Juni 1925 in Newport News, Virginia; gestorben 1. (Wikipedia) In deutscher Sprache. 87, (1) pages.
