Senior Chief Petty Officer Jerry Whitworth and Walker's son, Seaman Michael Walker were also part of the ring. Vitaly Yurchenko, a former KGB officer who defected to the west, estimated that Walker helped the Soviets steal and decode more than a million US eletronic communications messages. Vurchenko felt the communications breach was so important that if there had been a US-USSR war at the time, the USSR would have won. No previous owner marks. PAge edges tanned.
