Stiff card. First Printing. Generic stiff card binding with metal clamp with Graywolf Press label on front cover. A unique item consisting of photocopied short stories shot from the original appearances in books, magazines or newspaper, but the contributors match none of the published annuals. It leads off with Andre Dubus' "After the Game," copied from their own first annual with "The Premier Issue" at the head of the page; next comes Bobbie Ann Mason's "Hunktown." Both of these stories appeared in the first Graywolf Annual, but there the similarity ends. The remaining contributors match none of the issued annuals: Merce Rodoreda "My Christina and Other Stories," David Rosenthal on Merce Rodoreda, including a 3-page bibliography of her work; Edna O'Brien "A Pagan Place;" Patricia Boyle Haberstroh "Edna O'Brien;" Mavis Gallant "The Pegnitz Junction;" Mavis Gallant "Introduction to The End of the World by Robert Weaver;" Ward Just "Stringer;" H.E. Bates "Uncle Silas;" Graywolf Press, Press Release "NEA Grant Aids Short Story Series;" Reviews of Graywolf Press publications; and biographical notes on Weldon Kees, ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall.
