In addition, on the title page there are two round stamped circles with the one in gold that states "Golden Spike National Historic Site, Brigham City, Utah and dated Apr 07 '90". The other stamp is gray and obviously stamped years after the date states "Promontory Utah Terr. May 10, 1869". This is the historic date where the Union Pacific RR tracks met that of the Central Pacific and the two coasts of our country were for the first time connected by rail. This Oregon Trail pamphlet is 60 pages long and contains a number of brief events that occurred on the trail according to diaries. A very nice, and somewhat historic copy depicting some events in what is one interesting slice of American history. Signed By the Author.
