Vellum. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Ogiluie, Alexina {shields} (illustrator). Limited, Numbered Edition. This collector edition is bound in vellum over boards with rounded bevel edges. Gilt lettering of the spine has worn with age. Front cover upper gilt heraldic illustration remains sharp, colors bright. There is very small cracking of vellum at head and foot of spine, light rubbing bottom edges of boards. Upper textblock gilt remains bright. Hinges and gutters are solid, no shadowing of endpapers but there is some very faint foxing. Printed on hand made paper {Maillol} shields drawn by Alexina Ogiliuie. Hand set by I.VV.S. in 14pt. Caslon Old Face. Bound by Messrs. Iames Burn, & Co., Ltd. Rough-cut edges of textblock has some darkening from age, very light occasional foxing of textblock. Clean and tight in binding. Miniscule curvature to fore-edge of boards - characteristic with vellum bound books. Strictly limited to a printing of 500 copies, this one is copy number 224. A very good copy. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Limited, Numbered.
