Dust wrapper with illustration to the front of the wrapper. Light sunning to the spine of the wrapper with slight foxing to the wrapper. Chipping to the wrapper at the head of the spine and slightly less so to the wrapper at the tail of the spine. Several quite significant bumps to one corner concealed by the dust wrapper and one less so to the rear board, all hidden under the wrapper but with a little associated creasing to the wrapper over the bumps. The book is internally clean and tight. A very good copy.

With 32 full page colour reproductions of Tunnicliffe's watercolours, in plates, as well as many line illustrations(scraperboards) by him in Rogerson's text. A book with beautiful illustrations by Tunnicliffe, with an accessible text aimed at introducing people, especially young people, to birds in Britain. Very Good book in Very Good jacket, now in clear removable sleeve. Clean covers and page faces, some foxing spots to closed edges, . Jacket has a small loss to the rear top edge and the spine darkened with a short closed tear to front edge. Still a nice copy without inscriptions and not price clipped. Pictures available.
