Includes some tipped in color plates and additional numerous black and white illustrations. An about fair copy with moisture stain to the bottom edge of the boards and pages but with none of them sticking together and in a fair dust jacket with a moisture stain to the bottom and some other light wear. A decent reference copy on two important early phases of Picasso's long career.
First Edition in English, extensively illustrated with colour plates and monochromes, 182pp large folio, a very fine copy in original cloth with pictorial dust-wrapper, New Jersey, Wellfleet Press, 1987. Co-authored by Marie Laure Bernadac, curator of the Musee Picasso, Paris.

No dust jacket as issued. Despite the flaws a pleasing copy of this beautifully printed book.

In a slipcase of paper over green textured cloth with Picasso drawings on both covers and printed title on spine. Top edge of slipcase has faded; its spine and covers shows tanning; there is a small nick to the right front edge of the case. A little wear to upper corners of slipcase. A near fine copy in a very good case. Weight is 6 1/2 lbs. Postage is extra on this item.
