Bound in blue cloth over boards with decorative covers stamped in black. Wear to boards with toning, rubbing, and bumps to covers, corners, and edges. Dust-spotting to edges of text block. Age-toning to pages. First couple pages are creased and separated from spine at top 1/2", though the pages remain firmly attached. Pencil mark to second page. Pages are otherwise free of marks and notation. Binding is sound. An overall solid copy of this saleman's dummy for the biography of humorist, philanthropist, cowboy, newspaper columnist, movie- and vaudeville-star, Will Rogers.

A biography on Will Rogers (1879-1935), an American Renaissance man known for his roles as an entertainer, actor, humorist, and social commentator. Rogers was born to a Cherokee family in the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and began his career in the show business as a trick roper. He eventually made his way to the Hollywood big screen and also had positions as a newspaper columnist and a radio personality. Rogers's humor and wit made him very popular in his time. This book can also be considered a eulogy for Rogers as it was published shortly after his and Wiley Post's fatal plane crash in Point Barrow, Alaska.
