Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 28.5 × 23cm, 125pp. Signed and dated by Cornel Lucas to the half-title page. "Cornel Lucas, one of the world's most celebrated photographers, has worked in an official capacity as studio photographer on some of the greatest films of our time. His big break came when, as a comparative un-known, he won an assignment to photograph Marlene Dietrich. The result was an image that delighted the star, captured her essential glamour and launched Cornel Lucas on a career that continues today. Through the late 40s, 50s and 60s his work mirrored the rise and fall of stars an the star system, of fashions, and of changes in perceived beauty, whilst in the 70s and 80s he has worked in the new, leaner film industry." This book contains a superb collection of his portraits. Condition: Very good condition, but with some corner creasing to a few pages (not affecting the images). Signed by Author(s).
