A response to the anti-German feeling aroused by the post-war discoveries at the concentration camps like Buchenwald, and a reminder that some victims were German citizens, and that some Germans opposed fascism. Gollancz is mistaken on many points. He claims that the Germans did not know or only knew "vaguely" and by "hearsay" what went on in the concentration camps. In fact all Germans knew that Jews were being systematically murdered. They also benefited from the spoils that flowed into Germany and that came from murdered Jews. Golancz, a Jew, speaks of a "Judeo Christian tradition." There is no such thing, though an anti Jewish Christian tradition has existed for c. 1,700 years. Just read the New Testament and its references to Jews, read was fate St. Jerome wished for the Jews. There is no "Judeo Christian tradition" any more than there is a "wolf lying with the lamb" tradition. With a David Low cartoon as frontispiece Pamphlet on the responses to Buchenwald, the death camps, and the widespread sentiment that all Germans are guilty of Germany's horrors. Gollancz argues that many Germans were victims of the concentration camps and death camps.

Von 1916 bis 1921 war sie Mitarbeiterin der Wiener Werkstätte. 1938 emigrierte sie mit Zwischenstationen in Dänemark und England nach Brasilien. Dort war sie als Möbeldesignerin tätig. 1955 kehrte sie zurück nach Wien.

Thus Chapter 1 offers a short account of the area's physical setting; its multiethnic character; probable patterns of demographic change in the nineteenth century; and differences in sociopolitical status and religious affiliation associated with agnatic descent from one ethnic group or other. . Chapter 2 is concerned with Islamic doctrine as it seems to have guided the rulers of Gombe, Katagum, and Hadejia in their establishment and obervanceof legal norms for the conduct of public life (e.g. war, diplomacy, the ordering of justice) and also as it influenced the disposal of these polities' main source of wealth, annexed land and captured slaves or their decendants. . Chapter 3 considers at length what source material is available for a history of this genre . Chapter 4 surveys the major states and communities of the Nigerian savanna to 1800, or the eve of the Sokoto jihad, with special reference to Kanem-Bornu, Hausaland, and the nomadic Fulani of the northeast. Part II (Chapter 5-7) consists largely of historical narratives which set forth and analyze the core political events and instituations of Gombe, Katagum, and Hadejia from their establishments as Fulani emirates after 1800 until the mid-century, when they had assumed a character that endured, with some elaboration through minor basic change, through 1900. REAL GHOST STORIES as told by Flaxman Low in Pearson's Magazine, Volumes 5 & 7, January thru June, 1898 & 1899, first edition, some off-setting to the f.e.p.'s, inner rear hinges starting, else bright very good to very good plus copies, both in the publishers original pictorial and decorated gold, green, burgundy and salmon stamped cloth. The later 1899 book edition of the stories contained in these volumes sold at auction for £1900 ($3,154) in 1999. Of the 75 illustrations within these 2 volumes pertaining to REAL GHOST STORIES, only 12 appeared in the book publication. Also contains stories by George Griffith, Max Pemberton, Baroness Orczy, C. C. Hyne (CAPTAIN KETTLE), Victor Whitechurch (a train mystery of course), Frank Aubrey (an uncollected fantasy), et.al. Perhaps of greatest interest to some is the Nikola Tesla interview wherein is mentioned the development of Solar Cells, Television, Broadcast Power, Radio Controlled Torpedos, etc. Tesla was the inventive genius who at one time worked hand in hand with Edison as his peer. Offered along with a 550 word multi page holographic letter SIGNED by co-author Kate Hesketh Prichard detailing the last four years of her son and co-authors ill health and subsequent adulation from the public after his death laid into the first volume.
