The covers are bumped with soiling to the rear cover. The spine is slightly faded with the head & tail chipped & the head slightly frayed. vii, [i], 188 & [3] pages plus colophon. The front endpaper is lightly soiled & there is a tear to the paper of the front pastedown. The page edges are very slightly darkened. Illustrated in black-and-white after drawings by Lester G. Hornby with frontispiece, plates & pictorial chapter title pages with tissue guards. Good. First edition.
