(part col.) 11 x 17 cm., oblong illustrated hardcover, some edgewear. Hedy Backlin-Landman was Curator of Decorative Arts at Cooper Union Museum, New York in the 1960s. She was a 1953 graduate of Oberlin College, married to David Landman. According to a 1961 newspaper report: "Miss Backlin was educated in Europe in sculpture, ceramics and art history, and did her graduate work at Oberlin College. She has been at Cooper Union since 1959." She was a ceramist at the Rorstrand porcelain factory in Sweden. She came to the United States in 1952.
