The binding is smudged and soiled from handling. Spine is toned. Prior owner's name (Fred Nash, Jr.) is on front pastedown. The Nash family was from around Charlotte, North Carolina. Text is a little toned but generally clean. Illustrated throughout with drawing and with some photos. Includes "De Voodoo Man" on pages 25-27 with Uncle Remus. Page 26 has a drawing of an old African-American man telling a scary story to scared children. This book does not contain any scored music, so effectively it is a book of poetry.
