All with a stamp noting production No. 65-527 on the verso, and seven with the same stamp on the bottom right corner of the recto. After many years living in northern Italy, a factory worker takes his wife and children on a vacation to his rural Sicilian hometown, where he is unknowingly conscripted into performing a hit for the local mob boss. One of the first Italian films to address the Mafia, a pitch-black satire of class difference and Italian twentieth century culture. Inspired by the real life story of Julia Pastrana, who suffered from a condition that caused excessive hairiness, and was exhibited in a freak show and mummified after her death by her husband/manager. A satire of masculinity and chauvinism, where a man marries a much younger woman, the woman wanting nothing more than to have a child. The mental and physical strain of trying to please her drives the man to a heart attack and death.
