Book is in fine condition with sharp corners and spine ends, tight binding and pristine text block. Dust wrapper is unclipped at 12s 6d with Steadman illustration to the front wrapper and photograph of the authoresses to the rear. Some chipping at the spine head and the spine panel and top right hand corner are sunned. Some light edge wear. Overall the jacket is very good; the book is fine. The text of this work was first published in 1920. The titles are 'A Short History of Love and Marriage' and 'The True History of Leslie Woodcock', both by Daisy Ashford and 'The Jealous Governes or 'The Granted Wish' by Angela Ashford. Daisy Ashford is well known as a writer of juvenilia whose spelling errors were preserved in the publication of her work. Angela was her younger sister. We also have a copy of 'The Young Visiters' listed. The dust jacket will be protected with a new inert archival quality sleeve which is removable.
