Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. First Edition. "The Letters of Baudelaire" by Charles Baudelaire, translated by Arthur Symons, is presented as a hardcover First Edition in Fair condition. The book features black cloth binding with a Pan seal on the front cover and silver print on the spine. The contents consist of xii pages, 1 leaf, and 259 pages. However, it's important to note that the covers exhibit moderate to heavy wear, particularly at the corners, where the boards underneath the cloth are exposed, and the spine ends show signs of fraying. Additionally, there is light soiling on the front board, and a 1.5-inch gouge about 3 inches from the bottom of the spine. While the binding is somewhat weak, with repaired cracked hinges, the interior pages are clean and unmarked. A bookplate is fixed to the front paste-down, and there are small abrasions and a stamp on the front flyleaf. Despite these flaws, the book will be carefully packaged for shipment to ensure protection from the elements. A USPS electronic tracking number will be issued free of charge for added convenience. For more information or pictures regarding the book, please feel free to contact us.
