The little Colonel is the daughter of Kentucky's Colonel Lloyd. The book is dedicated to The Little Colonel, Herself in remembrance of a happy summer. It contains 114 pages with 10 b/w illustrations by Etheldred Barry.The condition is very good. There have been some tears which have been mended. The pages are clean. There is a book plate on the inside front cover and an inscription on the front fly leaf. The gray cloth cover has the title stamped in red on front and an illustration of a girl in black. The title and author on the spine are somewhat faded but still legible. There is slight soiling on the cover and tops of the pages. The corners are only slightly rubbed.
