Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Nice vintage 1929 1st American edition of the horror anthology "Shudders," in its very rare original dust jacket. The jacket is in fair to good condition with some chips and a few repairs on the backside. It is not price clipped. The actual book is in very good+ condition with only minor wear. The interior is lightly toned from age but generally nice and clean, though there may be the very occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a light bit of foxing or grubbiness, tiny chip or tear, creased page corner, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 5 1/4 inches and is 268 pages long. It contains tales from Cynthia Asquith, E.F. Benson, Arthur Machen, Walter De La Mare, Elizabeth Bowen, M.R. James, Algernon Blackwood, Mrs. Belloc Lowndes, W. Somerset Maugham, etc.
