Folding Card. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Full color folded card invitation. Slight rubbing on corners. Very clean. overall. An unusual souvenir of crossover appeal to NASCAR and Elvis collectors. The predominantly black invitation, with Elvis's blue suede shoes spotlighted on the card's front, announces a Feb. 28, 1998 press reception at Caesar's Palace to show off Rusty Wallace's Elvis-themed Ford Taurus, which was to run in that year' Las Vegas 400 Nascar race. Wallace is listed as a participant, as is John Force of the Natl Hot Rod Assn., and both are pictured in oval mug shots. A closeup of a young Elvis in a black leather racing-type jacket is shown on inside of the invitation and again on the rear panel. The event co-sponsors are listed as Fred Wagenhals, then CEO of Action Performance (a NASCAR souvenir company that has since merged with Motorsports Authentics) and Priscilla Presley of the Presley estate. Size: 4.5 In Wide By 6 in. Tall.
