Inscribed by the author on FEP: "To the Boston Authors' Club with the compliments of Charles Follen Adams, Boston, Mass. Feb. 21, 1913" A charming collection of humorous and endearing poems from the point of view of fictional German immigrant and family man Yawcob Strauss, written in Pennsylvania German dialect. The author was an American poet from Dorchester, MA who worked with Louis Prang's Boston publishing company. Very scarce in this edition, a real gem!.
