Stiff boards. Condition: Good +. Possibly Second edition. This copy of Electro-Deposition is the part publication of the eighth volume of Orr's Circle of the Sciences, a 19th Century scientific encyclopaedia. The cloth cover is worn with some stains on the back, but complete. This cover has been stamped and is embossed front and back with the Orr's Circle and a gilt title and price, 1s 6d. There is a small book-label on the front paste down endpaper. There are 36 small illustrations- most giving examples or suggestions of the chemical equipment needed. At the end of the comprehensive index there is a small paper, possibly cut from a newspaper, stuck inand is about artificial india-rubber. viii, 104pp This is basically a book on applied chemistry encompassing all aspects of Electro-Deposition known at the time. The book is divided into the theoretical principles and the practice of deposition with this latter part subdivided into all the metals of the time.

The two staples serving as hinges are both slightly rusty. There are 22 figures in the text and 7 photographs of famous scientists, 52pp. A book telling the story behind all the various scientific achievements that have led to the creation of the atomic bomb. He goes into basic details including , the atomic families, electrons, radioactivity, isotopes , atom splitting, relativity of mass etc. with a final chapter on the Atomic bomb. There is also a short postscript that discusses the future with destructive weapons.
