Two maroon leather labels inset to spine compartments with gilt decorations in a geometric wave pattern contain the volume number and the title. Covers have blind tooled and gilt borders. Attractive marbled endpapers and period Bookplate. A full set of 8 volumes. Spine somewhat lighter than front and rear covers, but overall and very clean and attractive set with tight hinges, no tears to leather. Vols 2 & 4 miss a portion of the inset spine labels. Some scuffing to leather here and there does not detract much from the general appearance. A solid, clean dn bright set!.
