Hard Cover. Condition: Good. First German Edition. 1st German editions of Tarzan od the Apes, Return of Tarzan and The Beasts of Tarzan. Very scarce and attractive editions. Suppressed due to popular outrage over anti-German sentiment in some of ERB's other books. All three boards w/ cloth spines. Nicely illustrated covers in a style very different fromthe U. S. Versions. TBA: top half of spine beginning to detach else VG; TR: Hinges cracked, tear to spine cloth else VG+; TT: Hinges cracked, tears to spine cloth which are starting to detach it else VG. The pages of all three are browned as is probably usual for these books. When you factor in the age of the books, the relatively small (compared to the U. S. ) German market and the effects of WW2 you have the recipe for scarce books.
