Multicolored illustration on the front cover shows a Watkins salesman talking with a woman in front of her house while she holds her child's hand. Back cover has a calendar for 1934 and an original purple stamp that says, "A. G. Williams, The Watkins Dealer, Box 116, Seneca, S. Dak." 5 1/2" x 8." Forty-six pages, complete. Four plates in color, complete. The plates advertise Watkins products. Inside of back cover also features a similar multicolored illustration of Watkins products. Inside of front cover shows a multicolored map of the United States showing the company's different locations. Page and covers are very clean and intact. Small dog-eared fold in lower-left corner of back cover. A fine copy. This catalog advertises and describes numerous household products the Watkins Company or Watkins Incorporated has to offer. Items range anywhere from medicinal ointments, household cleaning supplies, to cooking ingredients. Prices are not listed. Index in back. The catalog has a calendar for each month that lists astronomical events, such as the moon phases, and historic events that happened on each day. Also included are "fun facts" and a health and first aid section that goes over a list of ailments and their treatments. The Watkins Company was founded by J. R. Watkins (1840-1911) in 1868 when he began selling his homemade liniments, salves, and other medicinal products. In 1885, the company moved to Winona, Minnesota and added other products to its line such as baking ingredients. The Watkins Company still runs to this day.
