    [4],216pp. plus frontispiece and five plates. Original purple cloth, gilt. Spine sunned, light edge wear. Tiny hole at top of front free endpaper, paperclip shadows to rear endpapers, modern bookplate on rear pastedown. Still, a very good copy. Presentation copy, inscribed by Doggett: "To Im Harkness, feeling some of his interest in Florida history. Sincerely Carita Doggett Corse." Doggett Corse was a Florida historian, and supervisor of the Federal Writers Project in the state. Andrew Turnbull was a Scottish physician and founder of New Smyrna, Florida in 1768.
