There is a blindstamp on the front endpaper (no ink, just an impression). The very long subtitle describes the contents: "A series of practical treatises on material, tools and appliances used; general operations; preparing oil graining colors; mixing; rubbing; applying distemper colors; wiping out; penciling; the use of crayons; review of woods; the graining of oak, ash, cherry, satinwood, mahogany, maple, bird's-eye maple, sycamore, walnut, etc.; marbling in all shades." The only date on the book is on a sample promotional letter, reprinted on one page. 86pp, including 71pp of wallpaper samples, in what they call "a tri-view portfolio," (7 x 8.75 inches) when side sections are folded over. Good condition, soft cover, with pages fastened along the top edges. Covers are a little soiled and worn, spine is splitting at each end, about 1.5 inches. Corners and spine ends bumped, a few pages creased along the outer edge. But the wallpaper samples are fine, and everything is bright and clean, with no markings at all. Includes decorating ideas, ads for supplies, testimonials from users about how easy it is to wallpaper a room and a chart on the back to figure how much paper you need. #554K-653K.
