Hardcover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 447 pages (complete). A terrifically interesting book for anyone interested in the apres guerre / pre-Union South Africa. In general poor to fair condition. The cover is half-bound in leather. The leather corners are much worn. The leather spine is cracked, worn and damaged. The cloth covers are scuffed and marked. Despite all of these the covers have considerable character and geniality. Marbled pastes on the inside covers. The frontis and end papers have been removed. The early and late pages have some storage and handling marks. Compellingly illustrated with photographic plates and illustrated plates. These are all fascinating and in excellent condition. The pages are clear, clean, very confident, clubbable, easily referenced and read, classy and tidy. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
