Timber trees of Costa Rica. Ecology and silviculture, describes 55 native tree species. For each species there is a taxonomic description, a section on ecology, describing the type of forest and soil where the species is found; silviculture, with information concerning the collection and cultivation of the seeds in the nursery and the potential use of the species in forest plantations; and finally, a very brief summary of the characteristics of the wood and its current uses.
