About the Author:
Chiew Seen Kong was born in Singapore and has lectured in top universities in the country such as National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. Many of his publications are contributions to the sociological study of Singapore. Among them are Ethnicity and Fertility in Singapore, National Automation Survey 1989/90 and Social Class in Singapore.
