About the Author:
Fr. Tomi Thomas, IMS, was ordained a priest in 1994 and is currently Associate Pastor at St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church, Norwalk, CT, USA. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA in 2009, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Mumbai, India, in 1999. He holds Bachelor Degrees in Theology, Arts, and Philosophy. He was the Associate Director of Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) from 2000-2002, where he led relief work after the earthquake of 2001 in Gujarat, India. He will take charge as the next Director of CHAI in April, 2011.
