About the Author:

Joseph C. Burke is currently a Senior Fellow at the Rockefeller Institute of Government. He served for twelve years as President of Plattsburgh State University, and for nine years as Provost and one year as Chancellor of the State University of New York System. He received his PhD in History from Indiana University. Dr. Burke has a long connection to the creations of William H. Miner. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of the William H. Miner Agricultural Research Institute and a Trustee of the Miner Foundation, which provides funds to the Chazy Rural School, the CVPH Medical Center, and the Miner Institute.
