Gerard Hannan was born and raised in Limerick, Ireland and is a direct descendant of the Hannan family who were heavily featured in Frank McCourt's international bestseller, Angela's Ashes. Hannan works as a journalist/ broadcaster on Irish radio and television, and also owns and runs his book retail and publishing company in Ireland.
