A hospital patient, a doctor, a nurse, Ti-Gars (the cowboy on the roof), a simple set, plenty of humour, and some good country music make this a play to remember.

People need help from time to time, and often it comes from unexpected sources. In Tickets, the fact that our protagonists are from two different cultures only lends spice to the story.
In his 1919 autobiography, Dr. Wilfred Grenfell described the art of healing as "opportunities of doing more for the patients than simply patching up their bodies." Tickets takes place in a hospital, much to the frustration of Cora and Ti-Gars (and probably the nurse and doctor as well). The notion of patient care differs depending on the point of view - is it the doctor's, nurse's or patient's? A sense of humour and a perspective helps. The play has been used as a vehicle for discussions about patient care.
