About the Author:

The Rev. Pat Smith is an Episcopal priest who has been active in the ministry of Christian healing for twenty-seven years. She is a graduate of Yale Divinity School, where she studied pastoral counseling and Christian spirituality under the Rev. Henri Nouwen. Mother Pat is president of Generational Healing Ministries, Inc., a Board member of the Agnes Sandford Schools of Pastoral Care, a chaplain in the Order of St. Luke, a member of the Association of Christian Therapists, and Fishnet Northeast. she conducts missions, conferences and workshops on all aspects of the ministry of Christian healing, and offers quiet days and retreats with a classical approach to the deepening of the spiritual life. "The purpose of my ministry is simply this: to bring people into an awareness of the love, forgiveness, and wholeness that God wishes to give through His Son, Jesus Christ, and to teach them how to offer this to others."

This is a remarkable book. It adds to the literature on Christian prayer for healing the family tree a coverage that is both comprehensive, covering many facets, and integrative, putting the many facets together into a unified process. Patricia Smith builds on the pioneering work of Dr. Kenneth McAll (1982) and her experience with inner healing and healing of memories prayer to evolve a method that helps persons search the generational roots of their contemporary family pain, as the Holy Spirit leads, in order to expose these roots to the forgiving and healing love of Jesus.

This book is for all those interested in generational healing, but most especially for the serious Christian who prays for healing and is open to a deep intimacy with Jesus.
