About the Author:
In 1973, after a controversial career in the Department of Foreign Affairs, Stephen FitzGerald became Australia's first Ambassador to China since Wwii. For the past two decades he has been Australia's foremost adviser on China in his capacity as consultant to Government (State and Federal) and business. He was a founder of the Australia China Council and of the Australia Overseas Council. He is currently the Director of the Asia-Australia Institute and has his own consultancy service. In this book Stephen FitzGerald speaks with the authority of the expert and visionary. No one could be better equipped to suggest a way into the future that lies before us.
