About the Author:
Mary Mourar, MLS Mourar is a healthcare information professional, freelance writer, and developmental editor. While working for MGMA for more than 11 years as a librarian and information specialist in the Information Center, Mary assisted MGMA members and staff with a plethora of medical practice management questions, addressing current trends and issues across the healthcare industry. She received a master s degree in library science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor of arts from The Colorado College. Cindy L. Dunn, RN, FACMPE, independent consultant, MGMA Health Care Consulting Group, Cocoa Beach, Fla.
