Mary Lou Weidman learned to quilt from her grandmother at an early age. After years of filling beds, walls, and tables with quilts, she developed her own unique folk style of storytelling in quilts. She now makes about 40 quilts per year, centering her themes around family, friends, and things in her life that amuse and touch her heart. Mary Lou also designs fabric, owns her own pattern company, and is the author of Whimsies and Whynots.
