About the Author:

I was born in Staten Island, New York. I grew up in foster care and away from my parents. I used music to help keep my mind clear, and I loved Tupac Shakur and Nas so much I wanted to become a rapper, but where I’m from and where I grew up everyone wants to be a rapper. Eminem also taught me that the words you use could help you get out the slums. I learned that people loved my words and that I had the gift of gab. So I focused more on writing poetry than music. So these poems come from when I wanted to rap. These poems come from when I made Poetic my name. I joined the US Army and these words became a part of me and my rank. So these poems come from now all way to back in the day.
