The story opens in New Orleans. The year is 1976. Two young people, Danny and Raye, meet in a bar called Storyville. Drawn by passion spurred by urgency, they fall in love. From the outset trouble intervenes forcing them to flee. Along the way they exchange vows and come to realize just who they are. The promise of a new life an ocean apart sets the tone for what follows. Faced with an unforgiving past, they make their own rules and avoid looking back. By the author of "Tales From a Century Before" (Waverly Books, 2014), a memoir of coming of age in the 1960s and the adventure of a lifetime.

About the Author:
Dan Adams is a long-time resident of Santa Monica who sells books for a living and likes his bourbon on the rocks. When not engaged in writing, he prefers to think of himself as something of an unofficial good will ambassador to the Society Islands where, if circumstances allow, he spends as much time as possible.
