About the Author:

Co-written by two childhood friends, this transparent account chronicles a veteran’s transformation from an innocent high school senior to a weathered veteran. Co-authored by Nadine Brinton and Strada Morris, the two reunited after years apart to collaborate on this project. The former is an Iraqi War veteran who served in the United State’s Army from 2000 to 2005, only to return to the States to complete her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and, eventually, her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Nadine currently resides in San Jose, California. The latter is a diplomacy and social sector expert who has worked with head’s of states, the United Nations, and grassroots social workers, alike. Strada has dual Bachelor of Arts degrees and a Master’s of Public Administration; she currently resides in Napa, California.
