From the Author:
Opening Day is the second of four books in the Matt Davis Mystery Series. In it, Matt leaves the New York City Police Department and takes a job as Chief of Police in Roscoe, New York. The reason I chose Roscoe, a real town, for the setting is because I have been going there for nearly 40 years to trout fish. The local knowledge and experience I gleaned from ten years spent there as a professional fly fishing guide has enabled me to color the books with a true sense of authenticity. The first book in the series was As The Twig Is Bent. The third and fourth, also set in Roscoe, are: Twice Bitten and Broken Promises. As a result of my connection with Roscoe, in April of 2012, I was invited by the Roscoe Chamber of Commerce to be its celebrity first caster at its opening-day-of-trout-season ceremony. This was a tremendous honor for me and my family.
