The concepts and thought processes used to build the projects in this book are exactly the same as those that are used in other programming languages. But, we chose to use the Scratch programming environment for these projects because it makes coding more like playing with blocks than what adults typically associate with "writing code."

Readers will learn about fundamental concepts like variables and loops, but also about more advanced concepts like functions and components.
