When eleven-year-old Indigo Monroe puts on the old leather bracelet that has been in her family for generations, the mystery of who she is brilliantly unfolds. A mystical mom, a dad who seems to avoid her, classmates who tease her because she's peculiar, a tried-and-true best friend, and a menagerie of animal companions join her on the adventure from believing she's a total misfit to confidently embracing her extraordinary gifts and standing up for herself.

From wondrously appearing objects, visions, and auras to her dead twin sister's ghostly visits, Indigo learns to listen to her inner voice. Follow along as she takes an incredible journey toward self-awareness and self-acceptance. The magic of The Heirloom is alive for everyone.

Review:
"It's no secret that kids love to read about magic. But instead of serving up another scoop of the fanciful, good-versus-evil flavor of magic that saturates contemporary kid-lit, Alexandra Folz delivers something entirely different. Lucky young readers of The Heirloom will discover the true potential they have for creating real magic in their lives. While sharing Indigo's journey, they'll absorb the message that their own magical powers are within reach as well, and everyday magic is available to us all." -Lisa McCourt, bestselling author of I Love You Stinky Face and dozens of other books for kids and adults "In this heartwarming story, Alexandra turns the spotlight on the inner journey of the child's soul, teaching children how to be fearless in their authentic state. A wonderful tribute to the voice of clarity and wisdom we all carry within us! This book's profound messages will nourish the mindful nature of every child. It's a must-read!" -Dr. Shefali Tsabary, New York Times bestselling author and clinical psychologist "The Heirloom is a beautifully crafted story that takes the reader on an amazing journey of self-discovery. I only wish I had had such a knowing refuge, a voicing of the unspoken inner world when I was young. What a gift Alexandra Folz has provided to young and old alike-for our souls are timeless." -Sheryl Stoller, PCI Certified Parent Coach at Stoller Parent Coaching; and at The Center for Identity Potential, serving parents of the gifted and twice-exceptional children "The Heirloom will awaken your child's inner curiosity. It can't help but teach them how to trust their own intuition, be in the present moment, and be aware of their surroundings at all times." -Carol Lawrence and Stacy Toten, authors of 10 Ways to Parent Consciously, www.intentionalconsciousparenting.com "Beautifully written in an engaging way that enables the reader to reflect on themselves while be deeply immersed in the unfolding story.
