"Life gives us brief moments with another...but sometimes in those brief moments we get memories that last a life time." (Author Unknown) There are some moments in our lives that are so significant they become etched in our memories and they leave behind indelible imprints. They may be decisions, crises or challenges, or simply situations we stumble upon. These moments often change us in ways we never expected. Sugati Publications asked women around the world “Tell us about the moment you knew.” The top 30 most intriguing, captivating and touching responses are featured in this women’s anthology. The Moment I Knew—Reflections from Women on Life’s Defining Moments is a collection of essays and poems about those unforgettable times in the lives of women. Thirty women from six different countries share their personal experiences and insights from the wonder and sublime of everyday life to unexpected crises. These women’s stories will kindle personal reflection and inspire further discussion--perfect for a book group! The Moment I Knew is the second book in the “Reflections from Women” series. These books are based on the “Women’s Collaborative Empowerment Model” for writing and publishing at Sugati Publications where the authors are invited, empowered and encouraged to participate in the publication process from start to finish. In the spirit of supporting and empowering women, Sugati Publications donates a percentage of all profits from the Reflections from Women books to non-profit agencies providing assistance to women and girls. The charities that will benefit from The Moment I Knew include: Women's Microfinance Initiative, The Nurse-Family Partnership Program, and Women Writing for (a) Change.
