About the Author:
Author Susan Elizabeth Ross was born in the Midlands of England and came to the United States at the age of twenty. Inspired by the stories and landscapes of her childhood, Susan brought her own characters to life in her first book Zelda and Esmeralda. This is Susan's third book, her second is The Perfect Bear.
Illustrator Bonnie Bews lives and works in Muskoka, Canada, where fairies visit her woodland garden studio/gallery, Hinterglas Castle. Artist Bonnie Bews works in Hinterglas, a traditional European painting technique of working on the reverse side of glass giving the images vivid colour and a striking translucency. Bonnie won a 2008 Moonbeam Children's Book Award for her illustrations in Zelda and Esmeralda.
