About the Author:
Bernard Turner is an author and historian who has published several books about Chicago history and culture, including A View of Bronzeville, TJ and the Mysterious Stranger, Our Chicago--People and Places and The Windies' City--Chicago's Historical Hidden Treasures. He is a docent at the Chicago History Museum and provides tours of the neighborhoods. Mr. Turner also visits schools to talk with students about Chicago history and culture.
